Phoenix is a fiction writer, poet, playwright, philosopher, and serious thinker, who has completed eight full length novels (including Contorted Royal), five poetry collections (including Characters), one experimental novella, four novellas/short novels (including Silent Noise and Death’s Mirror), two short story collections, two philosophical treatises, and three plays. 11798231_507282979428169_1521652566_nHe recently finished his eighth full length novel, called Exhaustion, inspired by existential and Eastern philosophy, as well as the depiction/description of street kids in literature (such as in Alex Garland’s The Tesseract) and in sociological studies, written with the hope of shedding light on the social issue of homelessness. He also finished his second philosophical treatise (called In Defense of the Mind), a foray into the philosophy of mind and the philosophy of mental illness, a book which posits many things, but specifically the notion of dualistic existentialism, namely the theory of mind that a person must work to cultivate metacognition…
